Hello Rajbeer! India is polarised on many accounts, the most destructive amongst those are religion and caste. Together they make a poisonous concoction for polarisation in politics and as you rightly mentioned it’s becoming worse. Particularly, since BJP has won in a landslide victory in 2014 it has become even more alarming. Trust on pious institutions like judiciary and Supreme Court have deteriorated. Hindu nationalism as the main electoral strategy has divided the nation appallingly. Looks like it’s here to stay, for as long as people don’t engage in a civil dialogue keeping radical thoughts aside, it’s not going to become better. People need to stop oversimplifying politics into two opposite groups. Black and white. There’s is not just grey in between, there are infinite number of shades of grey as well.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate that.
