China Calling Itself a Working Democracy Is Nothing but an Audacious Case of Ideological Deception.

The argument by China that its unitary polity makes a better democracy than the U.S is hilarious and annoying at the same time. The flawed assertion was put forward by the Chinese Communist Party to demonstrate its displeasure with the Biden administration for not inviting China to the virtual summit for democracy. China somehow makes its singular party system fit into its ‘China-made-definition’ of democracy and proudly claims that it is a democracy that works, unlike other ‘so-called-namesake democracies,’ comically calling them hypocritic about their democratic status.

By defining democracy in its own arbitrary way, China is playing both defensive and offensive. Its desperate attempt to defend its position as a democracy despite being one of the most undemocratic nations in the world makes it an audacious case of ideological deception. So much so that it offends nations that work their fingers to the bone to achieve and maintain democracy.
